Performance Anxiety

We start the show with the sultry tones of podcast producer Ken Lucas. Ken states he checked the podcast metrics and discovered he has a fan. Counsel Edward A. Coleman, Esq. recaps the office events from the last episode and Ed reviews his wardrobe. Ed regretfully mentions that this episode is his performance review. Ed talks about some recent legal issues and then we take a break. We return from the break to the sounds of Ken’s dazzle dazzle machine as we welcome back High Priest Stu Horvath. We learn that Stu is here to review Ed’s performance for the talent contest. Ed figures out a routine on the fly and all hell breaks loose. Ed announces a new contest and then realizes it’s almost midnight. Stu says Ed is bleeding. We end the show on a high note.

We also learn the Ed Coleman’s salary is based on the amount of listeners for the show. We find out that Ed is lobbying for a chair on the Board of Directors. We dip into Ed’s RICO case and then we take a quick break. After the break, we meet the Unwinnable, Inc. Financial Guru, George Collazo. As George gets into investments, Stu shows up with his bodyguard, Romeo. George informs us that coal is the investment of the future. We try to help Stu with the Unwinnable Monthly crossword puzzle and then Ed insults Pittsburgh. Ed wants to know how to get rich quick and George suggests he invests in tacos. The show starts off on a sour note as Edward A. Coleman, Esq. has received bad news about his contract and we find out that Standards & Practices offers Ken Lucas a job. Ed talks about the spanking machine and then gives a quick rundown of this episodes guest, Tour Guide, Ian Gonzales.

After a quick message from our sponsors, we introduce Ian. Just as we're getting to know Ian, Stu Horvath barges in and observes the proceedings. Ed and Ian talk about the tour through the Unwinnable, Inc. offices, a strange closet and a water slide and then we learn about Ian's favorite part of the tour. Ed dips into his racketeering case and we chat about Stu's office. Ed brings up his history with Ian and they end up talking about the Boston Tea Party. We end abruptly after hearing more about Ed's contract.

Ed kicks things off with more guesses from his “Guess My Middle Name” contest. Ed talks about his process of reading his contract and then talks about racketeering and Unwinnable, Inc’s legal woes. Ken is less than enthused to hear another Strunk and White recording. Luckily Ian Gonzales stops by with his tour group and we chat with him briefly. After the break, we interview Head of Submissions, Baxter Thwack-Martin. The show ends on a sour note as Ken mentions his issues with Standards and Practices.

This week we kick things off with the guess my middle name contest and so far no one has picked the correct name. Ed has received one book for his work library and reads an excerpt about trademarks. We learn about the Unwinnable, Inc PO boxes and the amount of lawsuits filed against the company. Ed finally got a key to the executive bathroom only to learn there are several “bathrooms”. Ed answers a Twitter question and we then we take a quick break. We return from break with our guest, Head of Human Resources, Trip “Flippington” Fitzsimmons. We try to find out about the whereabouts of Ted Stacey but we come up empty handed. Ed asks about the Employee Handbook and describes the process to view it. Ed and Trip talk about the bathrooms, the different departments of Unwinnable, Inc. and Trip’s last name. We end the show with more questions than answers.
